Crows – A Short Retrospective

After painting just a couple of pieces that included the images of crows, I became aware that those who follow my work were as fascinated by these creatures as I am….so every once in a while I paint a piece that features a blackbird expressing human characteristics marked by logic, bewilderment, vocal dissent, grief or cunning,

leaving the viewer to figure out the rest!

  1. The painting on the upper left corner really stands out. The contrasts are not too sharp and the black is not literal. It is implied against the subtle grey. I also like how the shadows make the birds appear playful, upbeat and lively.
