I think, as a painter, you know you’re work is done when you lose interest…

Yes, it’s complete and I must say that I’ve come to the conclusion that the only part of this painting that the viewer looks at – at least from the comments on Facebook (mostly male)- is this guy’s dick and its size.  Well, that was blunt, wasn’t it?  It prompted me to rework his scrotum, which, of course, made me more than a little self-conscious – where previously I had no reservations.  Geeze.  It is done – but now I think his head is too big!  ha!

smile, and wait for the flash…

blah, blah, blah.  I was sketching and my son called to tell me that some physicists had proved that time has its own matter, you know, there are solids and gases and time has crystals.  It makes my head hurt.  Time crystals.  Then I started painting this.  It is a work in progress from the series 404 Page Not Found.

apparently we’re not even on speaking terms….

Arguing with my camera is getting me nowhere.  I think that my camera just doesn’t have the same eye that I do…therefore the photo of the piece seems to say something entirely different from the painting.  It’s the surface glare….and it’s mightily distracting.  I may endeavor to solve this problem in the future.  But, this is it.  The bridge.  To date it doesn’t have a title.
